Nokia 6 is now getting December security patch

HMD Global has released a new security software update for its mid-range mobile Nokia 6. It updates the security patch level of this device to December 2017. However this security patch is currently rolling out for Chinese variants. Some users have received this update and also shared the screenshots.

The screenshot reveals the software version for Nokia 6 will be in 00CN_3_31G. The firmware will also weighs in 111 MB and it asks 150MB free space for download. This update is now available for the following models TA-1000 and TA-1003. Compared to global variants (7.1.2), the chinese units are remains at android 7.1.1 version.

Nokia 6 owners are now getting this software update via OTA. To grab this update you need to connect your device to Wifi or mobile data. If you’ve eligible device you will receive the automatic OTA prompt. Once installed this update you can verify the installation from Settings menu.
