Google Pixel and Pixel XL at Verizon receives software update

Verizon wireless has rolled out a software update to Google Pixel series mobiles in USA. Most part of this update will focus on bug fixes that were spotted in current version. The update is now live for Verizon powered Google Pixel phone users only. The carrier has also updated the detailed changelog at their software update page. This firmware carries new build number NMF26O. But we didn’t got any official news whether the android version will upgrade to android 7.1.1 or not.

Following are list of bugs or issues that will be fixed by this update:

• Users who get error (9999) while retrieving Visual Voicemail messages

• Failed to prompt Voicemail icon notification for new voicemail messages

• Device stopped playing voicemail messages over Bluetooth

• Blue screen error flashes while having an inbound call

• Too Small font viewing fix for Email

• Garbled text at call screen or dialer and text corruptions at recent calls & contact list

It also carries latest android security patch, probably December 2016. The user can also select cellular or Wifi network for international roaming calls. To download the latest firmware stay with Wifi network for automatic update notification. If your device doesn’t receive update alert check it manually from Settings > About Device > System Update.
