Android Marshmallow for Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 rolled out

Verizon wireless carrier is now rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy S5 customers. They have already started to roll out this firmware to the galaxy s5 smartphone users. The notification about the software update may reach your handset at any time. They were rolling out this update through Over-the-air (OTA). It comes with a new software version MMB29M.G900VVRU2DPD1. It also carries the latest version of android security patch, performance tweaks and bug fixes.

Verizon carrier has also updated the list of new features and improvements at the galaxy s5 support page.

• It enables the Wifi calling feature which allows users to make and receive calls through WiFi network. You can also make Wifi calls to U.S for free. To activate this feature go to Settings > Advanced Calling > Activate Advance Calling.

• They have also redesigned the app icons and folder.  The update also brings some preloaded apps like verizon cloud, amazon apps, NFL mobile, Samsung Milk Music, Knox, etc.

• It also adds Ultra High Quality Audio (UHQA) feature to deliver a better sound effect on this mobile. It also includes audiophile level sound, enhanced audio quality etc.

• Other major features are doze mode, advanced app permissions, Google Now on Tap and more. It also supports Android for Work world’s familiar mobile platform.
