Right now Xiaomi is testing the Android Oreo beta version on Mi A1 handsets with beta testers. The company has released new software update for beta users which brings January 2018 security patch for Mi A1 earlier. Still the Google didn’t reveal the security bugs that will be solved by the January security update.

But this time the Xiaomi moves forward and rolled out the January 2018 security patch before Google Pixel and Nexus devices. This security update has been confirmed by the screenshot who installed this update on their device. The image notifies the build number of this update as OPR1.170623.026.7.12.27. It also enables Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support for Mi A1. Other than that it may perform some bug fixes and improves the system stability.
The users who are participated in beta program can download this update via OTA. Before checking for update, manage the battery level above 50 percent and use recommended internet connection to avoid download failures.
