Sony mobile is now pushing out software update for its Xperia X range of mobiles. The new update carries March 2017 month security patch file. The following handsets are now getting this security update - Xperia X, Xperia XZ, Xperia X Performance and X Compact. Along with this patch fix it will also include performance optimization and bug fixes.

For Xperia XZ and X Performance the firmware comes in new version 39.2.A.0.442. While the build number for Xperia X and X Compact arrives in 34.2.A.0.333. Sony may send out this software update through OTA in stages. If your handset is eligible then automatic OTA will hit your mobile. For manual update checking head into Settings > About device > System updates.
