It’s the time for Sony Xperia J to get Android 4.1.2. Jelly bean update. The entry-level smart phone has its firmware updated to the version number 11.2.A.0.21 . Like other JB Xperia updates, the kernel has been updated to 3.4. The Sony Xperia J is now receiving an update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The user can check the update manually and use the Sony Companion in PC and handset. The update weighs around 392MB. The update takes some time to install and requires at least 50% battery power and strong Wi-Fi connection. Update includes the features like Project Butter, Google Now and the enhanced notifications page along with the other security and feature enhancements from Jelly Bean.

But the update was not announced officially by Sony. The OTA (Over the Update) update is reported by the Users of the Xperia J. The Xperia J is the third smart phone of 2012. The Sony Xperia TX (LT29i) is due to be updated within the next couple of weeks.
