After several months, Tmobile carrier has finally released the android marshmallow 6.0.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users in USA. However tmobile carrier didn’t make any official announcement about this marshmallow update. The new software update will be available to tmobile galaxy note 5 users through OTA. Some users also shared the screenshot of this update in forums.

The screenshot suggest the firmware will carry the version number N920UVU2DPD1. It will also install the April month security patch for Note 5 device. The download size of this new update is 1.4GB. So it will take some time to download and install the update. Be sure you have connected your device to stronger wifi network. Before installing the update, just back up your files to external storage devices (for your safety). After the installation, Samsung Note 5 handset will be updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow os.  

Once your handset updated to marshmallow some apps may not work. This will happen because of incompatible or older versions of pre-installed apps. To fix this problem the user need to update their apps to latest version via play store or galaxy store. Also update your Samsung Gear watch to latest version to prevent from compatibility issues. As usual you can’t operate the handset during software installation including emergency calls.
