Finally the Samsung galaxy S5 smartphone is getting android 6.0.1 marshmallow update in USA. This latest software update is now available for Sprint carrier customers. They have also confirmed this firmware update on their community and support page of galaxy s5. The new version will carry the baseband version G900PVPU3CPCA.

Sprint carrier will roll out this firmware in phases which means it may take some time to reach all the devices. The update will be available for sprint galaxy s5 devices from April 7 to May 19. The new update will be in 891.75 MB size so stay connected to the wifi network.

The marshmallow update for s5 includes: April month security patch update, bug fixes, doze mode, google now on tap, improved app permission control, able to use SD card storage as internal memory and more.  The sprint users will receive the prompt message for android 6.0.1 update through OTA update. If the software notification didn’t reach your handset check it manually or wait for your turn for the alert.
