Samsung has rolled out October month security update to Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016), Note 4 and Note Edge smartphones. The galaxy note 4 and note edge handsets are from t-mobile carrier. But the galaxy a3 (2016) device belongs to European market.

T-Mobile has also updated the detailed change logs at the product support page. The security update for galaxy note 4 will be available to two versions N910TUVU2EPJ2 (250.67MB) and N910T3UVU3EPJ2 (266.93MB). For note edge device the new baseband version is N915TUVU2DPJ2 and the download size will be 286.80 MB. This update brings new features like RCS, Video call (IR. 94), Smart Manager, Gear Fit Manager, latest security patch, performance tweaks and bug fixes.

The European version of galaxy a3 (2016) also gets October 2016 security patch. It will update the version to XXU2BPJ1 for Europe. The android version will also upgrade to android 6.0.1 marshmallow. Along with this it will enhance the performance and fixes the previous bugs on this device.

All these smartphones will receive the security update via OTA (Over-the-air). The users will get the update notification once your device is connected to wifi network. Suppose if you didn’t get that patch update you can check for manually from the Settings menu.
