Verizon wireless begins to push Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto Z Play Droid Edition. The update is now live in USA and available for download. Before the official debut some verizon users are already received this software update and shared their experience on forums. The carrier has also posted the changelog for this device at their support page. The z play droid users will get this firmware update in new build number NDNS25.137-24-1-2.

The nougat update for z play droid includes Multi-window mode, quick switching between recent apps, bundled notifications, customizable quick settings icon, notification settings, new emojis, enhanced settings navigation with side panel, data saver and optimized doze mode. It will also update android security patch level to February 1 2017.

Verizon already started to roll out of this Nougat update via OTA. If the nougat notification available for your device then tap Yes, I’m in option to download. After completed the download tap Install now to apply the update. In some cases the OTA will take time to reach all devices so check for the manual update from Settings > About phone > System update. If it’s available for your mobile proceed to install otherwise wait for the official OTA update.
