HTC’s flagship mobile U12+ has started to receive new software update in US. This firmware update is now available in North America and carries the new software version 1.21.617.3. Earlier in July, HTC has released this same update for Taiwanese units, but with different software version. Now the manufacturer were begun to roll out this update for global variants.

What’s new in this update – It adds new feature to camera like 4K video recording with no time limit and Auto Zoom for video recording. It improves the pressure-sensitive behavior on buttons, battery life and tweaks the system performance. At last it installs the June month security patch on this device, but everyone has expected July month patch.

According to the screenshot, they were pushing this software update via OTA which weighs in 437.1 MB. You can either use mobile data or WiFi only option to download this update. If you own this device try to check for the update manually from Settings menu.
