Sprint powered HTC One A9 started to getting Android 7.0 Nougat os update in USA. The company confirmed this nougat upgrade and also posted the change at HTC official support page. The software update will hit one a9 handset with new version 2.18.651.2. HTC notifies the os update will arrives in the size of 1.86GB. But a user got this update in 1.08GB size and also shared the screenshot on twitter.

The firmware update will bump the OS version of HTC One A9 to Android 7.0 Nougat. It will also apply the January 2017 android security patch to this device. Some of the features in Nougat os are Multi-window, data saver, optimized doze mode, notifications direct reply, customizable quick settings icon, quick switch between apps, bundled notifications and more. Apart from this features it will fix bugs and optimize performance of this device.
HTC rolled out this nougat update through OTA and requires wifi or cellular data to download the firmware. To check for the latest software update go to Settings > System updates > HTC Software update. If the update is available download and install it on your device. The installation will take few minutes of time so charge your battery above 35% and wait for the completion.
