Are you using Sprint powered HTC U11 and awaiting for the Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade then this news is for you. Mo Versi (VP of Product of Management) has tweeted that they got the technical approval from sprint to release the Oreo update. He also revealed the roll out will from Monday onwards.
The company had released the first oreo update in U.S on November 2017 for its U11 unlocked models. We all know the software update will be rolled out in regular OTA method. However the HTC has just announced the Oreo update so it will take some time to reach all devices.

Android Oreo includes several new features like picture in picture mode, notification dots, auto fill, smart text selection, enhanced booting speed, improved battery saver and other features. If your handset is eligible then you’ll automatically receive the update notification.
You can also manually check for software update from Settings menu. If it’s available for your device then download it and proceed to installation process. We recommend the users to use high speed and uninterrupted network connection to download the OTA update. Otherwise you will face the download and installation errors.
