Toady Asus mobile has announced a minor software update for Zenfone 3 Ultra smartphone. This update will add new features, bug fixes, performance optimization and also removes unwanted apps from this device. Asus confirmed this firmware update through ZenTalk forums. The zenfone 3 ultra (zu680kl) will receive the update in new version 14.1010.1702.36. The company updated the release notes at their forums.

As per the changelog the update will remove the following features like Share Link, Redundant app shortcuts, PC Suite, ShakeShake from zen motion, Tap & hold to show menu option and preloaded apps not compatible with nougat os. Other new and improved features are tap & hold to enable multi window, quick settings with multiple pages support, newly added Unicode 9.0 for ZenUI keyboard, updated home workspace, launcher app for easy mode, added bundled notifications option and more.

Asus rolled out this software update via regular OTA update. The firmware OTA will take time to reach all mobiles so stay calm and wait for the notification. Otherwise you can manually check for update from Settings > About > System update.
