Alcatel announced a lot of mid-range Smartphones in January 2013. One of the smartphone is Alcatel One touch idol slim smartphone. Five months after the launch, the device is now available in United States officially. The pre-order for the device started in U.S and the device will be shipping on 15^th June 2013. Also the device is available at the cost of $299 without contract.

Alcatel One Touch idol ultra is a thinnest smartphone that has a thickness of 7.9 mm and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean operating system. The device has Dragon tail scratch and fingerprint resistant glass on its display. The smartphone is also a GSM based smartphone, that will work on GSM carrier networks and it will not work on any CDMA Carriers in US. Currently the device is available only in United States.

Alcatel one Touch idol is the official Mobile partner of the Movie Iron Man 3. The device made a special appearance in the Iron Man 3 Movie.
